Kalawathi Roy

This is Mahavatar Babaji’s cave near Dwarahat ashram. Myself and Jijaji had been there about ten years back.

I was standing at Kaichi dhaam on the way to Dwarahat.

Naresh Joshi

Nice.

Kalawathi Roy

This is the entrance gate of Dwarahat ashram.

Naresh Joshi

Good.

Kalawathi Roy

Naresh Joshi

Sp much quiet.

Kalawathi Roy

This photo shows the height we had to climb up in order to go to Mahavatar Babaji’s cave. Here I was with a guide who was providentially sent so that I could climb up.

Naresh Joshi

Once Yogoda came to my dream and asked me to meditate with him in a cave which was far distant and at a height in a jungle.

It was only 3 or 4 months ago.

In those days I was at a heightened consciousness.

It was really a wonderful experience that is still haunting me.

Kalawathi Roy

A view from Kausani. Mahatma Gandhi called it the Switzerland of India.

Naresh Joshi

Nice. U r fortunate to have these experiences.

Kalawathi Roy

Swami Nirvanananda In Dwarahar Ashram. He is popularly called the flying swamiji as he moves very fast over the ashram places !

Don’t worry dear divine brother, your dream will come true ! I am sure.

I will be sending a few snaps taken at Shimla Ashram. It may take some time.

The entrance gate of Shimla Sadhanalaya.

I was meditating at dhyana mandir. It is totally fabricated out of of wood. Jijaji took this snap.

Divine Mother is in in the sadhanalaya.

This is from a book kept in the sadhanalaya.

This one of my favorite quotations of Guruji.

Naresh Joshi

Kalawathi Roy

Beautiful post.

Naresh Joshi

As per your suggestion, I will meditate daily two times a day – morning and evening.

Kalawathi Roy

Thank you so much.

I am so happy to know this.

In the beginning you give one hour morning one hour evening.

Even if you give one time one hour another time 30mts, you can do this.

And if the time permits you can give more time.

You gradually increase the timings. I believe in quality.

Naresh Joshi

Each days meditation shall be deeper than than the previous days.

Kalawathi Roy

Yes. By regular meditation you will feel bliss. We have to practice.

Naresh Joshi

Didi shall I wear the astrological bangle ? I feel that I should.

Kalawathi Roy

I don’t think I it is not necessary.

Naresh Joshi

I have studied astrology for three years.

But the bangle has unique properties of shielding the negatives of the stars.

I m fond of astrological research and I have found many scientific truths.

The bangle as stated by Swamiji has marvelous shielding effect.

Kalawathi Roy

When you have favour of God then the stars cannot affect you.

Naresh Joshi

True.

Kalawathi Roy

Therefore I have not worn.

Don’t wear. Mind will get suppressed.

Naresh Joshi

True.

Kalawathi Roy

True.

Naresh Joshi

Kalawathi Roy

Liked all photos and all quotations. All are inspiring.

Naresh Joshi

Plz send me pics.  And share divine feelings.

Naresh Joshi

Kalawathi Roy

I have understood long back that this world and the astral world are dreams of God. My opinion is that due to attachment with the body, the truth is not being realized. That is why we require a Guru . So,my brother,  kriya practice is a must.

Naresh Joshi

I agree.

Three Types of Devotional Seekers and the Divine Relations They Obtain

In the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna acknowledges that in whatever way a seeker approaches the Divine, he is met by a response. There is no door too small, and no motive too egoistic. The operative factor is the turning of the consciousness, in some way, for whatever ostensible purpose, to the Divine, and thereby to create an interchange and a relationship. Through that relationship the energy flows and over time, this brings about growth and transformative changes for the seeker.

The Gita also describes four broad classes of seekers, based on the initial motive by which they turn to the Divine. Sri Aurobindo describes the first three of these as follows: “The relations which arise out of this attitude towards the Divine, are that of the divine Father and the Mother with the child and that of the divine Friend. To the Divine as these things the human soul comes for help, for protection, for guidance, for fruition,–or if knowledge be the aim, to the Guide, Teacher, Giver of light, for the Divine is the Sun of knowledge,–or it comes in pain and suffering for relief and solace and deliverance, it may be deliverance either from the suffering itself or from all world-existence which is the habitat of the suffering or from all its inner and real causes. (These are three of the four classes of devotees which are recognised by the Gita…, the distressed, the seeker of personal objects and the seeker of God-knowledge.)”

Each of these has a different intensity of relation between the seeker and the Divine. “For the relation of fatherhood is always less close, intense, passionate, intimate, and therefore it is less resorted to in the Yoga which seeks for the closest union. That of the divine friend is a thing sweeter and more intimate, admits of an equality and intimacy even in inequality and the beginning of mutual self-giving; at its closest when all idea of other giving and taking disappears, when this relation becomes motiveless except for the one all-sufficing motive of love, it turns into the free and happy relation of the playmate in the Lila of existence. But closer and more intimate still is the relation of the Mother and the child, and that therefore plays a very large part wherever the religious impulse is most richly fervent and springs most warmly from the heart of man. The soul goes to the Mother-Soul in all its desires and troubles, and the Divine Mother wishes that it should be so, so that she may pour out her heart of love. It turns to her too because of the self-existent nature of this love and because that points us to the home towards which we turn from our wanderings in the world and to the bosom in which we find our rest.”

Sri Aurobindo, The Synthesis of Yoga, Part Three: The Yoga of Divine Love, Chapter 3, The Godward Emotions, pp. 543-544

Kalawathi Roy

Ok.

Naresh Joshi

I think God speaks THROUGH the mouth of saints and works through the body of gurus.

Kalawathi Roy

Do regular meditation.

Naresh Joshi

Yes.

Kalawathi Roy

And please try to see spiritual eye.

An inner peace will come by this practice.

This will help you to maintain the balance between spiritual and daily karma.

Naresh Joshi

Meditation for me is seeking divine everywhere, anywhere and within us. I am always dissatisfied with an hour of meditation. My prayer is to meditate with open and closed eyes. Of course I meditate closed eyes but my aspiration is of being instrument at the hands of the supreme.

Kalawathi Roy

No doubt. My experience I am telling you.

Naresh Joshi

Yes, your experience.

People ascend consciousness for seeking the liberation but I wish the divine descend into the daily activities of life and establish the heaven on the earth that the world doesn’t remain aloof of the divinity and let divinity surpass the materialism in this mundane world.

Kalawathi Roy

You see I to felt the same thing sometimes back . Then I took kriya Diksha (informal) in 1976 . So using that technique I could go deep in meditation. Then by regular practice of kriya yoga I have reached this stage.

Naresh Joshi

Nice. The beginning is always small. The target is always far fetching. It is only by consistency that God attracts us.

Kalawathi Roy

Yes. Plan your schedule for giving more time.for deep meditation.

Naresh Joshi

Sure. U don’t know that Maharishi Aurobindo use to meditate while walking.

Kalawathi Roy

I have come to know that you seriously want to know GOD.

Naresh Joshi

True. I want to be a perfect instrument of God with the only spirit to serve his wish.

Even I don’t need liberation. That is my wish but the final is in the hands of God.
I m ready to be whatever he wishes.
Kalawathi Roy
Ok ,first you go to savilkalpa samadhi then only into Nirvikalpa samadhi.
Naresh Joshi
Sannidhya and samipya of Guruji are two most rare things.

Naresh Joshi

Only WRONG is to see WRONG in yourself as the karmas are the subject of tamas, rajas and satva gunas.

We need to unveil the self.

Kalawathi Roy

Very true.

Naresh Joshi

This is the real renunciation, renunciation of the emotion (sense) of doer(ship) –

the very message of the holy Gita.  Leave everything in the hands of divine, Lord Sri Krishna.
Kalawathi Roy
No doubt, due to gunas the behaviour changes.
Naresh Joshi

God tests us time to time but never makes us fail.

That means continuous effort (perseverance or adherence to the divine in every condition) is the only demand by God.
Kalawathi Roy
Correct.
Naresh Joshi

Let us never forget Him (God). Even if we do so, God shall always call us.

Kalawathi Roy

I believe if we are doing our karma and sincere with oneself then rest God will take care of.

I am so happy for your understanding.
Naresh Joshi
I appreciate that u understand my feelings and words.
Kalawathi Roy
Nearesh, promise me you will be my brother till the last.
Naresh Joshi
That is my promise to be ur brother and our father is God Himself.
Kalawathi Roy
I will be your didi till the last.
Naresh Joshi

Yogada himself assured us that we are the child of the one lord.

How can any one lie that ?
Kalawathi Roy

No doubt. I have full belief in God and Guru.

Naresh Joshi

Let the guru dwell in us and make his permanent instrument.

We r his unconscious instrument today. Let the next morning be with thy conscious instrument and a perfect instrument carrying his will.

That is my final aspiration. A perfect instrument carrying God’s will.

Kalawathi Roy

I can assured you we are very lucky to have a Guru like Yonganda.

It is difficult to get Sat Guru.
Naresh Joshi

Only guru can find disciple but the disciple himself could never find the guru.

Yogoda has chosen us. We could not do so.
Kalawathi Roy
That is also true.
Naresh Joshi

Do u remember in Autobiography how Yogada was magnetized by Sri Yukteswarji ?

Yogoda went unnoticing his master but the master was standing and waiting till Yogoda came back.
Kalawathi Roy
Yes, I remember.
Naresh Joshi
U see how Mahavtar Babaji called Lahiri Mahasaya to his secluded caves.
Kalawathi Roy
God is great.
Naresh Joshi
Our doubtful nature inspired by our natural materialism has curbed and eclipsed our reasoning power to see the greatness of the God.
Kalawathi Roy
Tell me your hobbies.
Naresh Joshi

Truly speaking my hobby is the research over yoga and making it easy for humanity

so that anyone can transform himself or herself from the deteriorated to the gifted.
Kalawathi Roy
I fully accept your views.
Naresh Joshi

Yoga shall be compulsory subject in schools.

Kriya yoga shall be taught to every child.
Kalawathi Roy
I love nature. Like garden. God is in nature. As you said, people are forgetting their true nature . And they try to find happiness in worldly attraction and (turn) away from God.
Naresh Joshi
True nature is mother – the same Divine Mother Kali.
Kalawathi Roy
Yes it (yoga) is a must from child hood. So that they can develop and shape their lives . And they can maintain the balance of life.
Naresh Joshi
Sure.
Kalawathi Roy

Due to regular meditation we feel happy, and energetic through out the day.

I feel full bliss.
Naresh Joshi

Nice. Sign of progression.

Kalawathi Roy

Our discussions are helping us for further progress day by day.

Naresh Joshi

I like the flute of Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasiya

I feel intense concentration when I hear the flute music at the point of sahasrar.

It might feel like imagination but really speaking it makes me aware that every vibration find it’s end in the crown of sahasrar.

It is observed that the music is listened not by the ears but a point in the saharar, amazing it’s really wonderful and fills me with a thoughtless influence of bliss, as if my body is no more, as if I m sitting somewhere at a height from the earth like floating in the ether.

I have practiced this position too for making the concentration power for three years, but not regularly.

I very much realized what was said by Sri Yukteswarji.

Amazing.

Kalawathi Roy

Ranchi Ashram is filled with vibrations of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Naresh Joshi

True.

Kalawathi Roy

I wish you visit ranch Ashram to receive the vibrations. You will feel the vibrations. You will know the difference between the vibrations outside the ashram and vibrations inside the ashram.

Naresh Joshi

True. May Yogoda enable me this spiritual voyage.

Kalawathi Roy

When you have sincerity for God and Guru, your wish will be fulfilled.

Naresh Joshi

True. Didi u r lucky that both of u r following the voice of same master.

It’s a rare story.
Kalawathi Roy
It is likely due to prarabdha and blessings of God and Guru.
Naresh Joshi
True.
Kalawathi Roy
I wish you too have our spiritual experiences. My sincere prayer is with you.
Naresh Joshi
Thanks.

Kalawathi Roy

Good afternoon. Jai Jagannath. Jai Guru.

Naresh Joshi

Jai Guru

Very good afternoon.

Kalawathi Roy

Same to you dear brother.

Naresh Joshi

Kalawathi Roy

The technique Hong Sau, we do to develop consternation. Like in meditation we concentrate in the spiritual eye or on any aspect of God .

Naresh Joshi

Yogada has sent u to guide me at my wrongs.

Kalawathi Roy

I like the book written by Gurudev. It is “God talks with Arjuna : The Bhagavad Gita”. It is the best. Please buy this book for you.

Naresh Joshi

These are my books and l have studied them.

Kalawathi Roy

Very good.

Naresh Joshi

These also dear to me.

Naresh Joshi

Guide me the techniques.

Kalawathi Roy

There are stages of spiritual development. Such as seeing the spiritual eye. Then seeing the chakras with internal vision.

Are you seeing during meditation ?

Naresh Joshi

No. Only see visions and feel the bliss.

Haven’t seen chakras.

Feel vibrations of the chakras.

And a horrible explosive sound like vibration in the sahasrar chakra.

Kalawathi Roy

You have developed well.

With out seeing spiritual eye, visions may be imaginary. May be true also.

Naresh Joshi

Not all visions but a saw few incidents which I see later in the life.

Kalawathi Roy

What you see inside the spiritual eye is true.

Naresh Joshi

True.

I know that when we are not concentrated, the forces try to mislead. The kutasta is the gate to the divine consciousness.

Kalawathi Roy

[The visions you saw] could be true, could be false.

Naresh Joshi

Many things I saw in the kutasta.

Kalawathi Roy

Very true !

Naresh Joshi

Sometimes places.

Sometimes persons.

But when I pray for particular spiritual questions God surely replied my question with my terms.

Kalawathi Roy

It is very good. But you must try to see the spiritual eye by Guru given techniques.

Naresh Joshi

Sure. I shall try my best.

Kalawathi Roy

Please now learn all the energization exercises.

Naresh Joshi

Sure.

Kalawathi Roy

Are you a member of YSS ?

Naresh Joshi

Yes.

Kalawathi Roy

Up to what lesson number have you received ?

Naresh Joshi

I don’t remember. It was through correspondence. I had attended a shivir at Jodhpur.

Kalawathi Roy

Do you have the lessons on energization exercises ?

Naresh Joshi

Yes. There were teachers at the sivir who taught various exercises of breathing stretching and relaxing.

Kalawathi Roy

I mean Gurudev’s exercises given in lessons. Can you do them with out seeing the lessons ? It hasGurudevs blessings.

Naresh Joshi

No. Not completely. Not exactly.

Kalawathi Roy

Learn them fully. Then I can guide you in Hong Sau techniques of concentration.

Naresh Joshi

Want to learn again.

Kalawathi Roy

I will help you always. I hope you will follow.

Naresh Joshi

Sure.

Naresh Joshi

Now onwards may I call u my Didi ?

Kalawathi Roy

Sure you can call me Didi.

Naresh Joshi

U shall always remind me of my spiritual sister given by Yogoda.

Kalawathi Roy

Guruji’s blessings no doubt.

https://sriaurobindostudies.wordpress.com/2016/07/04/putting-aside-fear-as-a-motive-in-the-relation-between-god-and-man/

Kalawathi Roy

Jai Shri Aurobindo. My dear brother, a very good morning to you . I liked the attachment.

Naresh Joshi

Kalawathi Roy

All saints’ object is same.  Methods are different.  And also one has to follow some technique.

Our Gurudev’s techniques are  simple and easy.

Naresh Joshi

True.

All serve the purpose of God.
Kalawathi Roy
MY BROTHER, I wish you follow some techniques. I will give you full guidance.

Kalawathi Roy

Jai Gurudev. Good evening Naresh.

l Will see your last post now.

Are you following any sadhana technique ?

Naresh Joshi

Yes

I do meditation and chant the name of Lord Krishna.

I follow the wisdom of Sri Guru Paramhansaji.

Kalawathi Roy

Happy to know that you are following the teachings of our Gurudev !

Guruji has taught scientific techniques of doing sadhana by which our mind gets internalized.

Naresh Joshi

True

Kalawathi Roy

The first is a set of energization exercises to keep body energized. By this technique we get cosmic energy from nature.

What about your family members ?

Naresh Joshi

All of my family do mediation.

Kalawathi Roy

Good. It will have good vibration.

Naresh Joshi

I practice Sadhana since 1998.

Kalawathi Roy

While meditating you be in God consciousness. What are you doing during meditation ?

Naresh Joshi

Initially I could not get results in sadhana as many use to say about the yogic results and experiences.

But I was to a firm idea that one day I shall meet great masters in my meditation.

I thought one day I shall have intuitions like Vivekanandaji and Yoganandaji.

I always aspire that let God give me the power of meditation with open eyes.

So that I can see God and behold him always and anywhere JUST like a portable paradise.

Kalawathi Roy

If you are sincere with Guru ,I am sure you will succeed.

Naresh Joshi

I prayed go the state of meditation with open eyes.

I personally tried many of the pranayams and did chanting and meditation.

And always God spoke THROUGH and guided me through the Autobiography of a Yogi.

Autobiography of a yogi is a living Guru like guidance for me.

Kalawathi Roy

It is nirvikalpa samadhi. We are aware of GOD while seeing surroundings.

Naresh Joshi

Yet I m to get that stage.

But it is entirely upon the Lord.

Kalawathi Roy

Yes, I agree.

Naresh Joshi

I pray for that but let it be completely with the God and let his wish be final.

I wish but his wish is final

Kalawathi Roy

True.

Naresh Joshi

Because the master knows better.

There were a shallow concentration in the beginning years but now I feel a good concentration level.

Time to time I get guidance somehow.

Kalawathi Roy

I think you will be successful in your approach.

Naresh Joshi

There are habits and things that hinder me. But now I could not survive them even after my desire. I am unable to get them as if some hidden force is repulsing me.

I pray that may Yoganandaji come and bless us and grant us nirvikalpa samadhi.

Kalawathi Roy

Give that problem to God and use Guru’s kriyas techniques.

Naresh Joshi

In my last dream Yoganandaji came and asked me whether I have had the khechri mudra but as I replied no then he said that now you will have that.

Seldom Yoganandaji bestows his blessings THROUGH dreams.

Kalawathi Roy

We have to put 25 percent. Guruji does 25 percent. Rest God will do.

See Khechari mudra was taught by Lahiri Baba .Our Guruji has omitted this from his teachings.

Naresh Joshi

I m not practicing that

I haven’t practice it anyway but I don’t know why Yoganandaji said that.

Kalawathi Roy

Keep your energy. I think you are having some good karma, that is why your progress is fast in this life.

Naresh Joshi

May these be words of the divine THROUGH ur mouth.

Kalawathi Roy

It is my suggestion that do not tell your spiritual experience to anyone, because of vibration problem. Thanks for understanding views.

Naresh Joshi

Sure.

Kalawathi Roy

Mind get distributed by worldly activities, so to over come this regular meditation is must.

Naresh Joshi

True

Meditation is must.

Kalawathi Roy

I liked your post. Om Guru.

Naresh Joshi

THE IMPORTANCE OF FINDING THE STRENGTH WITHIN

Life is often a struggle, outside and within. We are confronted with forces and circumstances which try to depress and discourage us. We do not know how to face them and handle them.

The question arises : Where can we find the strength which can help us to become master of circumstances, to surmount difficulties and failures, to become an instrument of the Divine?

We give here two very beautiful and reassuring letters of Sri Aurobindo, where he says that the Strength we seek lies within us, and it is possible for each one of us to find it. And its action can change even weakness into power and turn incapacity into capacity.

1.You should not be so dependent on outward things; it is this attitude that makes you give so excessive an importance to circumstances. I do not say that circumstances cannot help or hinder – but they are circumstances, not the fundamental thing which is in ourselves, and their help or their hindrance ought not to be of primary importance.

In yoga, as in every great or serious human effort, there is always bound to be an abundance of adverse interventions and unfavourable circumstances which have to be overcome. To give them too great an importance increases their importance and their power to multiply themselves, gives them, as it were, confidence in themselves and the habit of coming. To face them with equanimity – if one cannot manage a cheerful persistence against them of confident and resolute will – diminishes, on the contrary, their importance and effect and in the end, though not at once, gets rid of their persistence and recurrence.

It is therefore a principle in yoga to recognise the determining power of what is within us – for that is the deeper truth – to set that right and establish the inward strength as against the power of outward circumstances. The strength is there – even in the weakest; one has to find it, to unveil it and to keep it in front throughout the journey and the battle. – Sri Aurobindo

*

2. It is of no use waiting for the strength before one tries; the strength will come with repeated trials. Neither must you fear failure or be discouraged by failure – for these things do not always succeed at once….

There is something a little too personal in your attitude – I mean the insistence on personal strength or weakness as the determining factor. After all, for the greatest as for the smallest of us our strength is not our own but given to us for the game that has to be played, the work that we have to do. The strength may be formed in us, but its present formation is not final,- neither formation of power nor formation of weakness. At any moment the formation may change – at any moment one sees, especially under the pressure of yoga, weakness changing into power, the incapable becoming capable, suddenly or slowly the instrumental consciousness rising to a new stature or developing its latent powers.

Above us, within us, around us is the All-Strength and it is that that we have to rely on for our work, our development, our transforming change. If we proceed with the faith in the work, in our instrumentality for the work, in the Power that missions us, then in the very act of trial, of facing and surmounting difficulties and failures, the strength will come and we shall find our capacity to contain as much as we need of the All-Strength of which we grow more and more perfect vessels. – Sri Aurobindo

Kalawathi Roy

I bow to Divine Mother.

Naresh Joshi

Wish I could preside the mother consciousness in each of my body cells

Gurudev yoganand ji gave his entire life to fulfill the divine will and carried self realisation to the west as per the wish of the great Mahavtar Babaji
May God make us his perfect instrument.
Kalawathi Roy
Slow and steady wins the race. Do some meditation daily.
Naresh Joshi
True. Very true.
Kalawathi Roy
It takes time. But you will acheive your goal.
Naresh Joshi

Let each second of my present be loaded with the gurudevs wish.

And do practice for that and as Gurudev said each meditation shall be more deep than the previous days.
Kalawathi Roy
Don’t worry. If we are sincere, we will get success.
Naresh Joshi
Gurudev’s wish is my wish, if he chooses me to be a beggar I shall be happy with that role.

Kalawathi RoyDont distrubuted your peace. Keep your mind cool.

Naresh Joshi

Sure. U see I m excited because these days I m having great intuitions which make me feel with the energy.

Kalawathi Roy

Self realization is not so easy. it will take time. God and Guru will surely help you.

I am very happy for you as you are in the right direction.
Naresh Joshi
Thank u.
